Miranda Lambert teases fans with a new unreleased song, which fans seem to think is a taste of what’s to come on his upcoming new album.

On Wednesday, March 2, the country superstar shared a minute-long clip to Youtube of an unreleased song called “Strange”.

The YouTube video is just a photo of Lambert wearing a cowboy hat, the soundtrack to the new song, which finds Lambert singing, “A couple hundred bucks sounds more like a change, yeah / des times like these make me feel strange / smoke / buy a ride / ride a dayliner go anywhere / pick a rope / sing the blues / dance a hole in your shoes / do anything to keep you sane / ’cause times like these make me feel strange / times like these make me feel strange / Country don’t twang / Rock and roll ain’t loud / Every elevator never go down / Everybody’s looking for a little cheap fame / Yeah, and times like this make me feel strange.

“Strange” follows his recently released single “If I Was A Cowboy”, both of which are slated to feature on his yet to be announced new album.

Miranda Lambert’s new album is “finished”.

Although she didn’t specify what this “something new” is, it will likely be her next new album.

Recently, Lambert revealed that her new album is “finished” and unlike anything she’s done before. During an interview with Billboardthe country singer has announced that her new album, which was mostly written on her farm in Tennessee, has been completed.

“We’re done and now we’re just tying the knot on this whole thing,” Lambert explained. “I was really able to focus on this project because we wrote most of it in 2020. There are very few writers on this project. ‘Cowboy‘ is the first glimpse of this. I think this is the last I’ve written for this project and the first we’ve released.

She went on to share that “[The album] has a vibe and it’s different than anything I’ve ever done, but it’s obviously still me. When I sing, it’s pure country, no matter how I turn it. But yes, it has a little something, that’s all I will say. Lambert later added, “I have stuff that comes out of a really creative era.”
