Today we had the pleasure of speaking with James P. Allison, PhD, of the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas in Houston, Texas, to discuss his biggest career milestones. Dr Allison is a giant in cancer care®in the Scientific Advances category, which he received in 2014.

In 2018, the Nobel Assembly of Karolinska Institutet awarded him, along with Tasuku Honjo, MD, PhD, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work which led to the use of checkpoint inhibitors in the treatment of Cancer.

In our exclusive interview, Dr. Allison highlighted everything from his proudest professional moments to MD Anderson’s Moon Shot program, to his musical talents and the next steps he is taking in cancer research.
